Manifesto

Our policies centre around the ‘Five Point Rule’, with communities at our heart. These revolve around five key areas we will focus on and which underpin everything we are trying to achieve as a Party. These are:

Poverty

Homelessness - Work with Homeless people and organisations to combat homelessness and provide a safe environment for all

Benefits - Re-invent the Benefits system so that it does not punish those who are willing to work or those that are unable to work

Housing - Develop an affordable housing strategy that can create strong communities

Food banks - Assistance from government and laws to allow businesses to help more

Communities - Help develop strong local communities who care, and are willing and able to help themselves and each othe

Care

NHS - Reformation of the NHS system to alleviate the strain on front line staff but reduce the multi-layers of non-clinical management

Mental Health - Focus on providing and evolving Mental healthcare quickly to prevent conditions spiralling out of control

Elderly Care - review funding to allow for care in the home where it is possible

Disabilities - Provide greater support for the disabled to help them lead the life they want to

Communities - Emphasise the importance of Community care be it from health care professionals or the wider community

Education

Vocational Qualifications - Offer better access to a wider range of vocational pathways for young people

Curriculum - Increase basic standards in English and Mathematics and ensure all education is free from political bias

Environment - Create a safe and engaging learning environment for all pupils and a zero-tolerance for bullying

Life Skills - Include Key life skills in the syllabus. Budget management, Mortgage planning and Debt avoidance etc

Communities - Create strong community bonds between schools and their locality

Defence

Budget - Review and increase Defence spending power to build for the future. Encourage British companies to develop future solutions for the Armed Forces

Recruitment & Retention - Increase both by correctly funding and maintaining training and skills across the 3 services

Families - Support the families of all servicemen and woman and provide stability in a sometimes turbulent life

Veterans - Ensure all persons moving from Serving to Veteran have the skills and support to move forward in civilian life

Communities - Expand local service communities to support and involve the non-military community around them       

Justice

Police - increase Police numbers and alleviate the time pressures of Admin, allowing more focus on policing

Punishment - review of sentencing to allow for changes in criminality in the 21st Century. Deportation of foreign criminals

Prison - Punishment should not be easy, Rewards should only be for exceptional behaviour. You should never want to return

Rehabilitation - Better Educational and Vocational Rehabilitation but it should be earned through good behaviour

Communities - Encourage communities to not tolerate criminal behaviour but also to encourage and support those willing to rehabilitate.
